Abstrakt

Aim. The aim of the article is to map out the current issues related to education in the era of digital and technological changes on the basis of theoretical and research findings.

Methods. The published article is based on the theoretical and research findings of various authors and offers a critical reflection on some selected current aspects of education in the digital world, such as the problem of digital dementia and digital intelligence, the addiction associated with it, parenting styles, the development of critical thinking and the formation of a value system.

Results. Creating an analysis that explores the current challenges of education in the digital age. Analysing the selected most frequent problems of the subject matter, primarily from the point of view of ethics, sociology, and psychology, based on several researches reflecting the risks of using modern technology and digital media.

Conclusion. It is necessary to guide the child from early childhood to build values, critical thinking, but also own self-esteem and empathy. Since the foundations for a child's education are laid in the family, it is precisely family education that can (un)prepare the child for entering the world of digital media and its optimal functioning in it.

Cognitive value. The technologies that children and today's young people use in their daily lives affect not only their physical, but especially their psychological health, self-esteem, and critical thinking. As such, it can be beneficial for further building and developing the theory and at the same time be a basis for additional research.

    The author works as an assistant professor at the Department of Ethics and Aesthetics of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Slovakia). She deals with issues of family, education and media in socio-ethical contexts. Social inequalities, stratification and social pathology are also the subject of her interest. She is the author of 2 scientific monographs, as well as several chapters in monographs, studies and scientific works, published at home and abroad. The projects in which she is involved as an investigator are focused on the Central European geopolitical space, especially in the field of axiology, ethical consequences of contemporary nanotechnologies and media practice.

  • Zuzana Uličná - Department of Ethics and Aesthetics, Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, ul. Hodžova 1, 949 74 Nitra, Slovak Republic

    The author works as a doctoral student at the Department of Ethics and Aesthetics of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Slovakia). She deals with issues of gender, family, parenthood, constructions of motherhood and fatherhood, sexual morality. She is also interested in ethical education and alternative forms of teaching. She is the author of articles published in peer-reviewed domestic magazines. The projects in which she participates as a researcher are focused on motherhood and fatherhood. The projects in which she participates as a co-researcher are focused on religiosity and non-religious spiritual literacy.

  • Hedviga Tkáčová - Department of Journalism, Faculty of Arts and Letters, The Catholic University in Ružomberok, Hrabovská cesta 1, 034 01 Ruzomberok, Slovak Republic

    The author studied doctoral studies in journalism at the Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia). She decided to pursue further studies, adding a bachelor’s degree in Mission Work, a master’s degree in Social Management and social work, a rigorous examination in the field of theology, focusing on interfaith dialogue, and a second rigorous examination in Religious studies. Pastoral work, social work, and studies in religion were important parts of each of these programs. In-depth understanding of each subject, as well as pedagogical enthusiasm and practical participation, in the form of publication in these areas grew naturally. At that time, she worked as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Žilina in Žilina. At the same time, she also directed the communications department of the Christian Education Foundation in Martin, working primarily in the field of public relations.

    In recent years, Dr. Tkáčová has developed a growing interest in human resource management, issues of cultural diversity, and positive uses of the media in education. Her enthusiasm for the latter area allowed her to return to the Catholic University in Ružomberok, where she now works as an assistant professor (currently on parental leave). She publishes on the domestic and foreign scene in the field of new media, disinformation media, and management of education using social media.

    The author is a highly regarded lecturer at Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, specializing in foreign languages. With an extensive academic background, she holds degrees in English language, Teaching English Language, and Pedagogy from prestigious institutions such as the University of Gjirokastra, South Eastern University of North Macedonia, and the University of Tirana, respectively. Dr. Lekaʹs exceptional dedication to education and remarkable leadership skills have earned her respect within the academic community. Her profound expertise and passion for advancing the field of foreign languages make her an inspiring figure in the realm of pedagogy.

  • Daniel Alvarez Mateo - Departmen of Philosophy, Aestetic, Political Theory and Antropology, ISA University of Arts, 3HR3+52F, La Habana, Cuba

    The author graduated in Philosophy from the University of Havana. He currently works as an assistant professor of aesthetics at the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA). He has ventured into film criticism, oriented from contemporary philosophy. He has written articles on ethical problems from the study of film works. Also, he has write art critics from Rialta and Hypermedia Magazine, two independents cuban magazines. He is writing an essay on the concept of reverie in the philosophical work of Gaston Bachelard.
