Abstrakt

Aim. The article aims to offer a theoretical approach to the literary sciences and art, in essential aspects such as their general theoretical and methodological assumptions, the relations with other sciences, and the functions performed by the literary sciences and art in the system of culture.

Methods. The research methods used were the inductive-deductive and the analytical-synthetic.

Results. As a result, a theoretical article is presented which reveals essential issues of the literary sciences and art, from the processing of a wide literature and historical, theoretical and critical sources associated with literature and different artistic manifestations.

Conclusion. The literary and art sciences make up a complex and diverse field of knowledge, which offers transcendental knowledge in the approaches to these expressions of culture. The literary and art sciences fulfill several functions in the system of culture, given fundamentally by the spiritual needs they satisfy, oriented towards the subjectivity of cultural subjects and projected towards the survival of culture. These functions change in human cultural communities, and often determine the existence and trends in the development of literary sciences and art.

Cognitive value. The article reveals essential issues to the literary sciences and art, so it is an indispensable source in the approaches to a theory of these forms of human knowledge.

    Full Professor of Semiotics in the Department of Theoretical Studies, Faculty of Audiovisual Media Art of the ISA University of the Arts, and Full Professor of Universal Literature in the Department of Spanish-Literature, Faculty of Language and Communication of the University of Camagüey, Cuba. Doctor in Pedagogical Sciences (University of Las Tunas, 2015), Master in Community Cultural Development, Manager of Cultural Change Projects (University of Las Tunas, 2008) and Bachelor of Education, specialty Spanish-Literature (Higher Pedagogical Institute José Martí, Camagüey, 1997). He has extensive teaching experience in cultural research, literary and art semiotics, linguistic studies, and literary and art sciences. Currently works as Vice Chancellor of Research, Postgraduate Studies and International Relations at the ISA University of the Arts, in Havana.

    prof. ThDr, DrSc. (1953), professor, doctor of habilitation in sociology and social work. Roman Catholic priest of the diocese in Siedlce, Poland, and university professor at the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Catholic University in Ružomberok at the Spiš Chapter in Spišské Podhradie since 2016. He specializes in theories and methods of social work, Christian social work and charitable, the history of sociological thinking, and forms of missionary work. He completed his doctoral studies at the Catholic Theological Academy in Warsaw (1987), completed his habilitation at the State University in Minsk (2004), completed his inauguration proceedings at the Catholic University in Ružomberok (2010), and was awarded the title of professor of social work by the President of the Slovak Republic.

    College of Applied Psychology, Terezin, Czech Republic. University teacher, philosopher and theologist. After his graduation in philosophy and theology in 1999, he followed up with his postgraduate study at PUaL in Roma. He studied abroad until 2004. In 2007 he successfully finished his PhD. theology study at RKCMBF UK in Bratislava. During the following years, he was teaching in several colleges and universities, and he has also been continuously serving in the Church administration in northern Bohemia. Since 2015 he has been teaching at VSAPs in Terezìn, he is Vice-Rector for Science and Research. He is the author of several monographs and scientific articles. In January 2019, he successfully defended his habilitation thesis, and he was granted the title of Docent (Associate Professor). He is a member of several Czech and peer-reviewed editorial committees in the Czech Republic and abroad.

He completed his engineering studies at the Technical University in Kosice, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 1995. He completed his theological studies at the Comenius University, Roman Catholic Divinity Faculty in Bratislava, Theological Institute in KoĹĄice in 2002. He specializes in communication, mass media communication, mediation, media education, evangelization through media, use of media in the church, mass media communication, application of media in church institutions. In 2012 he habilitated at the Faculty of Mass Media Communication at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava in the field of Mass Media Studies. In 2018, the President appointed him a university professor in Catholic Theology. From 2007 to 2019, he held the position of vice-dean at the Greek Catholic Theological Faculty of PU in Presov. Currently, he works at the Department of Applied Educology of the GTF PU in PreĹĄov, where he was the head of the department from 2007 to 2019. Since 2019, he has held the position of Vice-Rector for Science, Arts, Sports and Accreditation of the University of Presov. He is the author and co-author of several monographs at home and abroad, numerous studies, articles, papers and editorial activities in the field of theology, mass media and communication.

He is an associate professor in ethics and an adjunct professor in the field of pedagogical sciences. He is engaged in postmodern thinking and its application in pedagogy and didactics. Currently working at the Institute for research of Constantine and Methodiusâ cultural heritage, Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, where he is engaged in the preparation of future teachers of educational subjects. In its publishing activities, it interprets otherness in philosophical, religious, and pedagogical contexts.
